WINTER HOLIDAY FESTIVITIES

Luminary-lined streets have been the centerpiece of our winter holiday festivities for many years. In this special Chapin Park tradition, the neighborhood takes on a special glow at dusk as the sidewalks are lined with luminaries. After a stroll through the neighborhood, neighbors gather at the corner of Manitou and Park for caroling, hot chocolate, and a visit from Santa Claus! Festivities also include a historic Carriage Ride through the neighborhood, and the opportunity to purchase the annual commemorative Chapin Park holiday ornament.

poem written about the 2004 festivities.

Date and Time: 6-8:30p.m. Sunday December 20th.

Luminary Sales: Saturday and Sunday December 19-20 (watch the listserv for time/location)
Luminaries are $4 per dozen, and consist of white paper bags, sand, and candles. A dozen is generally adequate for a typical-sized lot. All proceeds support Chapin Park.

Ornaments sport the Chapin Park Logo and feature a different Chapin home each year. Ornaments can be purchased at the holiday party or from Tim Klusczinski (tsk617@gmail.com or 289-1917).
