Luminary-lined streets have been the centerpiece of our winter holiday festivities for many years. In this special Chapin Park
tradition, the neighborhood takes on a special glow
at dusk as the sidewalks are lined with luminaries. After a stroll through
the neighborhood, neighbors gather at the corner of
Manitou and Park for caroling, hot chocolate, and a visit
from Santa Claus! Festivities also include a historic Carriage Ride through the neighborhood, and the opportunity to purchase the annual commemorative Chapin Park holiday ornament.
Check out a poem written about the 2004 festivities.
